She's Engaged!

(Taken from a letter written to Jason)
"Joe proposed to me on Saturday night! (November 14, 2009) I'm engaged! He sent me on a scavenger hunt. His friend Mike came by with a note card that had an oragami rose on it, and a message. On the front it had a clue to get to the next one (which was where we had our first date at the Coa Coa Bean), and on the back was a Russian word. So I went to the Coa Coa Bean, and there was a cup of hot chocolate sitting on one of the tables with another one of the little cards propped up against it. That one I thought said to go to the "closest movies", so I went to the theater at the next block. I couldn't find another card, so I asked the people who worked there if they had seen a card like the ones I was holding, but no one had. Man, I had everyone looking for a note card for like 10 or 15 minutes, but we never found one. I had left my phone at the apt, so I had to run back and get it so I could call Joe. I called him, and told him that I couldn't find it, and he explained the card actually said "closet movies", meaning the movies at his apt, which he kept in their living room closet. Ha ha! Yeah, so anyways.... Went there, and found the next card which led me back to my apartment which was where we had our first kiss. Then I went to the Spori (the art building on campus) down in what we call the "dungeon" (the basement), in the computer lab, which is where I spend most of my time doing homework. Then went to the Hinckley building where we go to dances. And finally ended up back at the Spori, this time on the third floor, where we hang up a lot of the artwork. When I got there, the last card said, "so did you figure it out?" And then Joe came walking around the corner, and asked if I figured out the message (all the Russian words on the back of the note cards. I only knew a couple of the words, "you" and "me" haha! so I asked him what the other words were, and they of course all spelled out "will you marry me?" Then he got down on one knee and proposed. I said yes, and he gave me a ring. Joe designed a ring for me, but it isn't done yet, so he got another ring for me to wear for now. It's silver with inlaid turquoise stones. So yeah, that's pretty much the story. The whole time Joe was proposing, his friend Mike took pictures of it."

So, that is the latest on Kassie.
Joe is really Joseph Hale. He lives just outside of Blackfoot, Idaho and served in the same mission as Kellie's husband Alex. Joe and Alex actually have known each other for years, but did not know that each other was at BYU-Idaho. So, no, this was NOT A setup. Just a very weird coinsidence!
No wedding date or place yet, but will let you know as soon as it is figured out.
