Kassie heads back to BYU-Idaho

After having Kassie come home to visit for a month, on Saturday, September 5th it was time to say goodbye as we put Kassie on a plane to return to Rexburg, Idaho. This is Kassie's final semester as she will graduate from BYU-Idhao in December.
Kassie's boyfriend came out to visit for a few days and then flew back with her.

We wish her the best as she works hard this semester to graduate and will miss her while she is away!

Summer Break

Kassie's 1st surgery... Bye Bye Wisdom Teeth


Kassie returned home to Seabrook Texas with us after Kellie's graduation. She came home for the month's break before her last semester of college begins. However, her vacation has not been all that she would have wanted it to be. Upon returning home, first things first, Her wisdom teeth needed to come out. The oral surgeon warned us that her top left tooth was right next to,if not in, her sinus'. But, she only has 2 wisdom teeth. So the date was scheduled and last week her teeth came out.
Surgery actually was to good to be true. The teeth came out without any difficulties and she had very little, if no, pain. And very little swelling. The rest of the month has been babysitting to earn money to help her get through her last semester of school.
It has been very nice having the kids all home. And we will be sad to have to put Kassie on a plane in a couple weeks, to send her back to Idaho.

Kassie Nearing Graduation

Kassie's college days are also coming to an end. She will follow close behind her sister Kellie, graduating from BYU-Idaho in December 2009.
Kassie started BYU-I taking on a whole new direction. She turned her focus to Art and has excelled in this area! She will graduate in Art - Graphic Design.
We are very proud and excited to be able to attend two graduations this year! Kassie has and continues to develop her talents in art. (something I'm ashamed to say I once thought was a 'crazy' idea.) But now her art work lines the walls in our home!
Kassie is having a great time dating and hanging out with her sister and room-mates. We are very proud of her!!!

Side note.... Kassie also has an Associate of Arts degree in Music, from College of the Mainland. (Texas)

Kassie ends the semester burning note cards

Kassie, Kellie, Alex, Joe and room-mates Kimmie & Diana get together to burn their thousands of note cards from their Natural Disasters Science Class. And to make matters worse, (like that wasn't enough) Kassie, Kellie, Alex and Joe all had to rebel and wear shorts/capris and sandals on BYU campus! A complete no-no. But they were so glad to be done with that class, they didn't care!

Ok, so Jason decided that Kassie has been dating this guy for long enough that it was time to try and scare him off. So, this last week, Kellie and Alex met up with him to put Jason's test to work. (for his list of questions see Jason's mission page). Kaydee is not ready to "approve" of him, but we do all agree that the guy does have a good personality!

Staying busy Winter 2009

Kassie has been keeping extremely busy with her classes this year. One week of school down, and she is heavily tied down with homework. Then to add to it her laptop is not working right and needs to be redone! Not a good time to fix a laptop. Hopefully they can get everything reinstalled and working soon so she can get on with her projects.
She has also just been called to serve as a counsler in her BYU-I Ward Relief Society! This should really keep her busy!
Don't know how much time she'll have for playing this semester.....

Kassie BYU-I 2009

On January 1st, Kassie returned to BYU-Idaho to complete her final year. If all goes as planned, she will graduate in July 2009 with an ART degree, emphasis in Graphic Design.
